Blumenkopf is the story of a wild-hearted flower-headed girl stuck in flowerpot. With her trusty cat-companion Gemütlich, she navigates her coming-of-age journey through betrayals and unexpected evolution.

The artist created Blumenkopf after years of collecting family stories, ones often boarding on the perposterous, as well as obsessively drawing portraits from her family in order to transform them into characters for this adult-themed tale.

Originally, the story was conceptualized as a livre d’artiste, with characters (in the form of textile dolls hand-sewn and embroidered by the artist) appearing throughout the three dimensional book.

Blumenkopf is currently being reinvented into a short-animated film hand-drawn by the artist herself.
