Strata
STRATA (2026) is a project created during a two-month long residency Les Affluentes thanks to a partnership between L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts d’Angers and the township of Loire-Authion.
During the residency, the artist conducted fieldwork via interviews and archival research in the seven towns of the township in order to create a poetic portrait of her experience in the area largely influenced by its geographical location, along the Loire River. .
The project, exposed at the Galerie Hors-Champ in Saint-Mathurin sur Loire, includes six drawings and paintings, one large-scale ephemeral collage-fresque (pictured on the previous page) as well as a video and sound installation where music composed by the artist, ambient sounds recorded in the township, and interviews with the township’s inhabitants all interact.
